There is no shortage of commitment to working with the community among the staff at Circle Technology Collective International. CTCI Senior Partner Avery Z Chipka has been awarded the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his ongoing dedication to making the nation and our local community a better place. The award was issued by President Barack Obama via the Presidents Council on Service and Civic Participation.
The award recognizes Mr. Chipka for his contribution of more than 4,000 hours of service to the community. These hours were through non-profit organizations that directly impact the communities we live in. The majority of the contributed hours were focused on youth services and environmental stewardship, via organizations like The Boy Scouts of America, Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, Tread Lightly!, Darkness to Light, and Code.org. Mr. Chipka continues his work with local non-profits and currently holds the position of State Advocate for The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics is a national organization that protects the outdoors by teaching and inspiring people to enjoy it responsibly. The Center accomplishes this mission by delivering cutting-edge education and research to millions of people across the country every year. In the state of Vermont, there are currently more than 400 Leave No Trace Educators.
Mr. Chipka’s commitment to service continues to be demonstrated through the policies he has implemented at CTCI to ensure not only the business but every member of the staff is actively involved in making the community a better place. In 2017, CTCI contributed more than $10,000 to local non-profits and this year is continuing its push for local impact with a commitment to donate 10% of company profits back into the local community. Community Change isn’t only about financial contributions, it’s about having a direct impact and involvement. Visit the CTCI Community page for additional information about the companies effort to change the communities we live in.
Although Mr. Chipka may be the first at CTCI to be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award, we view that as a bar that each member of our team aspires to.
